Man Hit by Train in Tallinn Dies in Ambulance Car

Today, on 7 February 2010 at 4.20 PM a train accident occurred in Järve, Tallinn. A 32 years old man was hit by the Keila-Tallinn passenger train and died some minutes later in the ambulance car, told the PR Officer of Northern Police Prefecture.

The PR Officer explained that the accident took place behind Järve Selver department store and the details of it are being investigated.

AS Elektriraudtee (Electric Railway Ltd) notified its customers that the train will be 30 minutes late. Tiiu Tammoja, Marketing Manager of Elektriraudtee, said that the train was actually 30-35 minutes late and the accident did not have any influence on the movement of other train.
