Yesterday (22 August 2010) died a man hit by a train in Harju County. The identity of the deceased is not yet determined.

At 2.30 PM the police was notified that an elderly man got hit by a train going towards Tartu in Lagedi railway station, Harju County, said to Delfi Aleksandra Solntseva, PR Officer of Northern Police Prefecture.

“The seriously injured person was taken to the hospital where he died around 8.30 PM. The details of the accident are being investigated. It is not yet known if the person was drunk at the time of the accident but it will be found out later,” explained Solntseva.
