Minister of Interior Ken-Marti Vaher and Director General of Rescue Board Kalev Timberg gave on 19 February 2013 in Salme Cultural Centre Rescue Board’s honorary medals that recognise those who have contributed to the achievement of goals laid down by the Rescue Board.
Among others, the Rescue Board’s medal was awarded to Tamo Vahemets, Chairman of Management Board of NPO Operation Lifesaver Estonia (OLE) for his services to Estonian citizens and rescue agencies.
Vahemets said that OLE and the Rescue Board share a common goal – saving lives. “Such a high recognition from the Rescue Board is also an appraisal for OLE’s work and I am very glad that the contribution of our volunteers, cooperation partners and those sharing our views has been noticed on such a high level,” explained Vahemets.
The Rescue Board gave its honorary medals on the occasion of 95th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia. The medals were given to more than 90 people
