OLE gives out safety vests in Ida-Viru County

Yesterday, April 28, 2010 OLE and the Estonian Foundation of Railway Culture presented more than thousand signal vests to Ida-Viru County kindergartens. The gift was given as a part of the current Railway Safety week.

The “Little Red Riding Hood” kindergarten in Narva vas visited by Tamo Vahemets, Chairman of Board of OLE and Riivo Sinijärv, Chairman of the Estonian Railway Culture Foundation. In cooperation those two organisations hand out around 3000 safety vests. The vests are marked with safety messages, such as LET’S SAVE LIVES and LOOK, LISTEN & LIVE.

The main message of the current Railway Safety Week launched on Monday is “RED IS RED”. The objective of the campaign is to remind people that the red light in the traffic lights at a railway crossing equals to the red light burning in regular traffic lights on streets. The Railway Safety Week lasts until May 2, 2010.
