OLE Involved in Rescue Board Youth Camp’s Activities

The children’s camp organised in Remniku, on the shores of the Lake Peipus by the prevention workers of the Rescue Board has taken place for several years already. Children from various parts of Estonia can learn about the work of rescue personnel and collect necessary information about safe behaviour.

OLE was invited to the camp for the safety day during which they lectured children of different ages on railway safety matters. In parallel lectures were held by police officers, rescue personnel and a bomb squad. OLE was glad to see that there were many young people attending the presentations despite the hot weather and burning sunlight and that they were still alert and ready to obtain new knowledge also after the lectures.
The most exiting exhibit for the camp was a hovercraft, which the OLE team was also happy to take for a short ride.
